Justin is integral in determining the attractiveness and appropriateness of individual investments both through our own independent analysis and our analysis of third party research. When applying that research to client portfolios, Justin is skilled in assessing individual investors’ needs in the context of their risk tolerances and crafting financial plans to incorporate those needs and risks.
Experience: Formerly with the First Citizens Bank Trust Department in Raleigh, NC, Justin worked as a Settlement Specialist before being promoted to Trust Accountant. As Settlement Specialist, Justin was responsible for settling and balancing all equity and debt transactions for the Trust Department. As Trust Accountant, Justin was responsible for making accuracy improvements in the balancing and production of FCB Wealth Management client statements, leading to increased customer satisfaction.
Education and Affiliations: Justin has earned two of the most prestigious achievements for a Financial Advisor. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) charterholder and a Board Member of the CFA North Carolina Society. He is also a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) professional. He graduated magna cum laude from North Carolina State University and holds a B.S. degree in Business Management with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Economics. He was one of eight University Scholars in his major and a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the Economics honors society. He serves as Treasurer on the board of the Charles B. Aycock Historic District.
